Brazilian World Music at the Wine Attic

CAJI & SALOMé (Acoustic Brazilian & World Music)
Caji & Salomé will appear in a musical performance at the Wine Attic. Together they extend the musical language to a mutli-cultural expression. They represent and explore a vast universe of musical styles that are interconnected. While the main influence is Afro-Brazilian, which includes bossa-nova, samba, and afoxé, they incorporate reggae and other world music styles such as bolero, morna, and fado into their unique sound.

The North County Cloud Clippers model airplane club will be hosting Paso Robles Airport Day 2008, on Saturday, September 13th.

Airport Day is an open house and air show at the Paso Robles Municipal Airport and will feature static displays and flying air show demonstrations by full-size and radio-controlled model aircraft. Admission and parking is free. More information available at www.pasoairshow.org.

The event starts at 7 p.m., so arrive early for best seating (in the all-easy, high-back chairs). The evening festivities will benefit the award-winning Downtown Paso Robles Main Street Association, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the economic revitalization of our downtown. The same day as Taste of Downtown, Paso Robles will also host the 7th Annual Arte de Tiza.  The chalk-art celebration will offer a visual feast of chalk murals created by area artists on the sidewalk of Pine Street between 11th and 12th streets. Artwork will be in progress beginning at 8 a.m. the morning of the Taste (see below).

11th Annual Taste of Downtown promises a superb culinary, artistic and musical experience in historic downtown Paso Robles. With the purchase of the $25 Taste of Downtown ticket pass, participants will sample the creations of 35 local restaurants, a brewery, wineries, ice cream and coffee houses as well as free admission to an open-air concert.

Carson & Barnes Circus, the only one big-tent circus still touring, is coming to Paso Robles September 20th and 21st  with two shows each day—Sat., Sept. 20th at 2 pm and 7 pm and Sun., Sept. 21st at 1:30 pm and 4:30 pm--- at 2700 Buena Vista Drive (just off Highway 46E) in Paso Robles on Cuesta College’s North County Campus.
