Pioneer Day in Paso Robles

Paso Robles Pioneer Day Saturday, October 11
10:00 a.m. Parade
12:00 p.m. Bean Feed

The first Pioneer Day was held on October 12, 1931. It was organized by community volunteers working with generous donations of time, materials and money from individuals, businesses, churches and service organizations. Their goal was to provide a day of community friendship and a commemoration of the heritage of the Paso Robles area. It would also become a day set aside to say “Thank You” to all of the people who support the business and professional community of the area throughout the year. Most businesses closed so that their employees could enjoy and participate in the activities and family reunions. There were to be no charges for any of the events, no commercial concessions and lunch would be provided at no cost.

It's Unique... THE WHOLE DAY IS FREE and entirely funded by the business people and dedicated citizens of our area who say: "Leave Your Pocketbook at Home" Come, celebrate in friendship! Parade, gymkhana, whiskerino contest, bean feed, little cowgirl and cowboy costume contest. Parade starts at 10:00 am on Spring Street. Bean Feed at City Park at Noon.

Harvest Wine Experience

Events At Participating Wineries

Each year, on the third weekend of October, wineries open their doors to offer an abundance of activities unique to wine country during the Paso Robles Harvest Wine Tour. Over the three day weekend you will find more than 100 individual events at nearly 90 wineries. Take a cooking class and learn the art of food pairing, ride through the vines in a vintage jeep, stomp some grapes in traditional fashion, or enjoy a slower pace by indulging in a winemaker dinner, barrel sampling within the cool confines of the cellar, or taking in live music on a sun kissed deck.

Paso Robles is the fastest growing wine region in California and Harvest Wine Experience weekend is your opportunity to experience why this area is quickly gaining acclaim on the national and international wine fronts.
