You really should have been there!!! 283 children, kindergarten
through 4th grade, competed at the Paso Robles High School track
in the 23rd annual Taco Bell Track Meet held on Saturday, May
17th. It was a warm day, but the breeze helped the kids turn in
stellar performances in the softball throw, the long jump, and
in running events. The girls and boys from Virginia Peterson
swept the relay events – so look out for some increased
competition next year! The children almost flew around the
track, one of the most noticeable being the “girl in pink” who
was undefeated in her running events. Take a look at the photo
gallery to see for yourself the enthusiasm and determination of
the athletes that competed in this year’s event. Kudos to all
the participants, the volunteers, and the City staff for making
