Storm Water Program Feedback

The City of Paso Robles is enrolled in the Phase II Municipal Stormwater Program as required by the State Water Resources Control Board.  The program requires the City to develop and implement a Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP) in order to reduce or eliminate pollutants in Stormwater runoff and non-storm water discharges.

The SWMP describes the Best Management Practices (BMPs), measurable goals, and timetables for implementation of the following six minimum Control measures:

Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP)

In compliance with the State Water Resources Control Board’s General Permit NO. CAS000004, Stormwater Discharges from Small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems, the City of Paso Robles developed a Stormwater Management Program. Under this program, the City will educate and involve the community in Stormwater pollution prevention, regulate Stormwater run-off from construction sites, investigate non-Stormwater discharges and reduce non-Stormwater run-off from municipal operations.

The City of Paso Robles Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP) dated December 2004, was approved by the Central Valley Water Quality Control Board on January 6 , 2005. This Annual Report describes the activities completed during the second (or 2006-2007) reporting period, as defined in the SWMP.

You can download and view the City's approved Stormwater Management Plan [pdf:485k/80pp] here or review hard copies, which are available in the Public Library and at the Public Works Administration Office at City Hall, 1000 Spring Street, 2nd Floor.  Bound versions are also available for purchase for $35 from Public Works Administration at City Hall.
