Other Fire Permits
Effective January 3, 2006, all plan review and permit issuance for:
will occur at the Department of Emergency Services, 900 Park Street, Paso Robles, California.

Completed application packets may be filled out online, printed, and hand-carried to our office during normal business hours (enter at the corner of 10th and Park Street) or mailed to:

Please ensure that your application is complete and submittals contain at least the information required below. We are not able to process incomplete applications. A separate permit must be obtained for each type of system.
Underground Fire Lines
1. Completed application (Page 4 of the packet).
2. Completed legal declaration (Page 7 of the packet).
3. Three (3) sets of underground line drawings compliant with
NFPA 24, Chapter 4.
Please note that Underground Fire Lines may require up to 30 days for review and permit issuance.
Fire Sprinkler Systems
1. Completed application (Page 4 of the packet).
2. Completed legal declaration (Page 7 of the packet).
3. Three (3) sets of sprinkler system drawings compliant with
NFPA 13, Chapter 8.
4. Two (2) sets of hydraulic calculations.
Please note that Fire Sprinkler Systems may require up to 30 days for review and permit issuance.

Fire Alarm Systems
1. Completed application (Page 4 of the packet).
2. Completed legal declaration (Page 7 of the packet).
3. Three (3) sets of drawings compliant with NFPA 72 and
California Fire Code, 2001 Edition, Section 1001.3.
Please note that Fire Alarm Systems may require up to 30 days for review and permit issuance.
Chemical Fire Suppression Systems
1. Completed application (Page 4 of the packet).
2. Completed legal declaration (Page 7 of the packet).
3. Three (3) sets of drawings compliant with California Fire
Code, 2001 Edition, Section 1001.3.
Please note that Chemical Fire Suppression Systems may require up to 30 days for review and permit issuance.
Again, please note that we are not able to accept incomplete application packet submittals. All applicable fees are collected at the time of permit issuance.
