2009 Library Board Goals and Objectives

1. Advocate for continued and increased community support for the programs and services offered by the library.

• Promote library programs when noted in press releases.
• Advocate for the Library’s place in and contribution to the City of Paso Robles.
• Work with City and State entities to find funding to increase collections and maintain programs.
• Attend at least one conference or workshop dealing with library advocacy.

2. Update and implement policies established by the Library Board.

• Work to make policies more accessible.
• Update policies.

3. Address Library Services

• Nurture customer service excellence among staff and volunteers.
• Develop recommendations for Library services to be offered at the First Five Family Resource Center.
• Develop recommendations for library materials and services based on 2008 teen survey.
